Q&As
Q: Where did the show get its name?
A: The Hunchback of Notre Dame! I originally was going to title the show Sinister Sagas, but when I went to publish the first episode another podcast had beaten me to it by only a few days. I based the title of the show off of the song Hellfire and how Judge Claude Frollo interacts with the fireplace.
“Hellfire, dark fire / Now gypsy it’s your turn /
Choose me or your pyre / Be mine or you will burn” – Judge Claude Frollo, The Hunchback of Notre Dame
What is Darkfire Chronicles?
Darkfire Chronicles is a podcast combining a love for all things spooky and an exploration of where each story’s inspiration surfaced. Each haunting narrative is crafted using themes of the macabre, the supernatural, the deepest corners of human fears…and (sometimes!) even true events.
With each new release, listeners are treated to an audio drama crafted and edited by The Narrator, accompanied by bonus episodes delving deeper into the tales’ inspirational origin.
A quick message from The Narrator:
Hello, dear friends.
I have had a shift in hours available to work on this show, but this podcast isn’t going anywhere. I want to be abundantly clear: I have not and will not be abandoning this project. I have a full story envisioned, and before we make it to season 2 of this show, I intend to tell it all.
It it me, myself, and I producing, writing, and editing every episode and I appreciate each and every one of you for sticking around while I work on them as much as physically possible. I have many ideas in store, and the lore of what exactly is going on with the Narrator and the Archives is slowly evolving into something that has potential to be a really cool story and a really surprising twist.
In summary, I thank you for supporting my show and listening to the episodes. You all give me the boost of inspiration I need to keep fighting through the nights when I only have a half hour or an hour to work on this, and I thank you for understanding why this takes the time it takes.
